Role Overview

The Principal will serve as the academic and administrative head of the school, providing visionary leadership while ensuring excellence in teaching practices, school operations, and stakeholder relationships. The role demands a child-centric mindset, strong leadership capability, and hands-on involvement in daily functioning.

Key Responsibilities

Academic & Curriculum Leadership

Lead comprehensive academic planning, curriculum development, and implementation. Ensure alignment with Montessori principles, innovative pedagogy, and experiential learning practices. Monitor teaching quality, classroom engagement, developmental milestones, and holistic child growth. Establish age-appropriate assessment practices and learning documentation. Drive teacher training and continuous professional development initiatives.

People Leadership & Team Management

Lead, motivate, and mentor teaching and administrative staff. Conduct regular teacher training, capability enhancement, and performance evaluations. Foster a professional culture of empathy, accountability, collaboration, and discipline. Guide teachers in academic planning, classroom delivery, and child engagement.

Parent & Community Engagement

Must have demonstrated experience in parent handling and parent grievance management. Build strong relationships with parents through transparent communication. Address concerns empathetically while maintaining institutional standards. Represent the school in public forums, community interactions, and education platforms.

School Operations & Administration

Oversee daily operations ensuring safety, hygiene, discipline, and regulatory compliance. Ensure accuracy in documentation, records, communication, and process execution. Implement effective SOPs and institutional policies. Support admission processes and school growth initiatives.

Strategic Growth & Quality Assurance

Uphold and strengthen La Joie's philosophy, culture, and brand ethos. Support enrollment, marketing alignment, and positive school visibility. Lead quality assurance systems, audits, and improvement initiatives. Contribute to future expansion, innovation, and institutional development.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

Postgraduate in Education / Early Childhood Education / Child Development preferred. Bachelors in Education Montessori / Early Years specialization highly preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership / principal / headmistress / coordinator role. Proven experience in parent interaction & grievance resolution, teacher leadership, and academic planning. Strong understanding of Montessori methodology and modern pedagogical frameworks.

Skills & Attributes

Passionate about early childhood education. Warm, empathetic, disciplined, and child-centric leadership presence. Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills. Strong decision-making ability and emotional maturity. Tech-savvy and well-versed with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Email management, etc.). Professional integrity and high ethical standards.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
