Job Purpose:

To lead the Management Information Systems (MIS) and Business Planning functions by providing accurate, timely, and actionable business insights to drive operational efficiency, financial planning, and strategic decision-making in the alcoholic beverages (alcobev) manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

MIS & Reporting:

- Design, develop and maintain periodic MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for operations, finance, sales, production, logistics, etc.

- Provide consolidated dashboards for plant performance, SKU-wise profitability, sales vs. production trends, and inventory movements.

- Automate and streamline reports using Excel macros, Power BI, or ERP tools like SAP/Tally.

Business Planning & Budgeting:

- Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting process in coordination with departments.

- Track actual performance vs budget and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.

- Coordinate with sales and production for demand forecasting and supply chain alignment.

Operations Planning:

- Monitor production planning vs actual output, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.

- Assist plant teams in manpower planning, material requirement projections, and shift-wise productivity monitoring.

- Track RM/PM inventory utilization and wastage for better procurement planning.

Regulatory & Excise Support:

- Maintain documentation and MIS related to excise duty, dispatch permits, bonded warehouse, and liaise with compliance team.

- Prepare reports as required for regulatory filings or internal audits in distilleries and breweries.

Decision Support:

- Provide strategic inputs to the management on profitability, market demand trends, and operational performance.

- Support in CAPEX planning, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis for new product lines or plant expansions.

Key Skills Required:

- Strong command over Excel (pivot, VLOOKUP, macros), PowerPoint, Power BI/Tableau

- Hands-on experience with ERP systems - SAP, Tally, etc.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Understanding of distillery/brewery operations & supply chain

- Team handling and inter-departmental coordination skills

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate/Engineering; MBA preferred.

- 8-15 years of experience in MIS, Planning, or Strategy functions.

- Preference for candidates from FMCG, Alcobev, Beverages, or Manufacturing companies.
