About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced

Head - Methods Engineering

to lead our process planning and manufacturing methods team. The ideal candidate will be a

Mechanical Engineering graduate

with over

20 years of experience

in the

Defence manufacturing industry

, possessing deep expertise in

process planning

and

route card management

.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the

Methods Engineering team

to ensure efficient and accurate process planning. Develop and optimize

manufacturing processes

to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and product quality. Oversee preparation, validation, and management of

route cards

, process sheets, and standard operating procedures. Ensure accurate and timely

process cost estimation

for components and assemblies. Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with Defence industry standards. Support estimation activities for new projects and tenders (estimation knowledge is a plus). Evaluate and implement new manufacturing techniques and technologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. Ensure adherence to Defence manufacturing requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

(mandatory).

20+ years of experience

in

Methods / Process Engineering

within the

Defence manufacturing industry

. Strong knowledge of

process planning

,

tooling

, and

route card management

. Proven leadership and team management abilities. Estimation knowledge for project costing and bidding is an added advantage. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
