The Head - Maintenance is responsible for spearheading maintenance operations in the shipyard, ensuring the seamless functioning of machinery, equipment, and facilities. The role requires deep expertise in the shipbuilding and ship repairing industry, including strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as a commitment to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program for ship repair and shipbuilding equipment and facilities.
Lead a team of skilled technicians and engineers, ensuring efficient resource utilization, performance evaluation, and skill development.
Ensure the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of critical equipment, such as cranes, hydraulic systems, welding machines, and dockyard tools.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including those related to safety, environmental impact, and operational procedures.
Manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations while adhering to project deadlines.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and condition monitoring of infrastructure and machinery.
Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of spare parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
