Role Summary
BMC Group is setting up a new, automotive-grade machine shop. We are looking for a senior operations leader to build, commission, and scale the machine shop to Tier-1 standards.
This is a builder role, not a caretaker role. The incumbent will own end-to-end responsibility for productivity, quality, cost, manpower, and delivery from Day 1.
Fluent English communication is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
Greenfield Setup & Launch
Lead layout finalization, machine placement, utilities coordination, and commissioning
Drive line balancing, takt time definition, and capacity planning
Ensure smooth trials, SOP freeze, and production ramp-up
Operations & Delivery
Own daily production output, OEE, uptime, and adherence to plan
Eliminate bottlenecks and firefighting through structured systems
Ensure stable multi-shift operations
Quality & Compliance
Establish zero-defect culture from launch phase
Lead OEM audits and internal audits (VDA 6.3 / IATF exposure preferred)
Own rejection analysis, RCA, and permanent corrective actions
Cost & Productivity
Drive machining cost reduction, tool life optimization, and fixture efficiency
Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, poka-yoke, and kaizen
Track productivity per machine and per operator
Team & Leadership
Hire, train, and stabilize supervisors, setters, and operators
Build second-line leadership and enforce shopfloor discipline
Create a data-driven, accountability-oriented culture

Candidate Profile
Mandatory
12-18 years experience in automotive machine shops (castings preferred)
Prior experience in new machine shop setup / major expansion
Strong hands-on exposure to CNC machining (VMC, VTL), tooling, fixtures, gauges
Proven team leadership capability
Fluent spoken and written English
Preferred
Tier-1 automotive background
Exposure to VDA 6.3, IATF systems
Lean / TPM / CI experience
Not Suitable If
Candidate has only run legacy shops without building systems
Weak English communication
Avoids audits, data, or accountability

Strong supervisory bench developed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?70,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
