Job Title: Head - Logistics & Supply Chain
Location: New Delhi
Position Overview:
The Head of Logistics & Supply Chain will have end-to-end accountability for Relaxo's logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations, spanning factory dispatch, inventory management, transportation, and last-mile delivery to GT, MT, and e-commerce channels. This role combines strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring optimized inventory flow, cost-effective distribution, superior service levels, and alignment with business growth objectives across all channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Logistics & Supply Chain Strategy
Develop and execute end-to-end logistics and supply chain strategies, including factory-to-warehouse, warehouse-to-retailer, and e-commerce fulfilment.
Design network optimization plans (DCs, warehouses, regional hubs) to balance service levels with cost efficiency.
Partner with business leaders to support multi-channel growth (GT, MT, E-Commerce, Export).
2. Transportation & Distribution Operations
Manage factory dispatches, secondary distribution, and last-mile delivery across all sales channels.
Build and manage e-commerce logistics partnerships to ensure SLA adherence, reverse logistics efficiency, and cost-effective delivery.
Negotiate and manage 3PL and transporter contracts, focusing on service levels, cost-to-serve, and scalability.
Ensure inventory integrity throughout transit with robust damage and loss controls.
3. Warehousing & Inventory Management
Lead all warehouse operations with a focus on accuracy, cycle counting, reconciliation, and shrinkage reduction.
Drive inventory management strategies to improve turns, reduce working capital, and minimize stock-outs/aging.
Oversee WMS/ERP integration for real-time inventory visibility and control.
Implement automation and digital tools to streamline warehouse efficiency.
4. Pricing & Cost Optimization
Develop and monitor distribution and logistics pricing models covering freight, warehousing, last-mile retail delivery, and e-commerce shipping.
Drive logistics cost efficiency initiatives while protecting service quality.
5. Demand-Supply Alignment
Collaborate with planning, procurement, and sales teams to align supply chain with demand forecasts and seasonal trends.
Support S&OP processes to ensure timely replenishment and product availability.
Use data insights to adjust production and procurement in line with market trends.
6. Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Establish and track KPIs: inventory accuracy, stock aging, fill rate, order accuracy, on-time delivery, logistics cost per pair.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting inventory reduction, waste minimization, and digital transformation.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards in logistics and warehousing.
7. Leadership & Capability Building
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance logistics and supply chain team across warehousing, transportation, and planning functions.
Promote supply chain best practices and accountability across the team.
Present logistics and supply chain performance, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain or equivalent, or Engineering/related degree from IIT, NITIE, or other Tier-1 institutes.
12+ years' experience in Supply Chain, Distribution, and Logistics, preferably in FMCG, Footwear, Apparel, or Consumer Durables.
Proven track record in factory-to-retailer supply chains, e-commerce distribution, and distribution pricing models.
Strong understanding of working capital, inventory management, and logistics cost control.
Experience in implementing supply chain digitization, automation, and WMS/TMS/ERP integration.
