Head Legal reporting into the MD and Chairman

Location : Gurgaon

- 15 to 20 years of experience in the Legal function

- Last few years in the leadership role.

- Heading the function in an organization supporting Real Estate Sector

- Experience in Legal, Compliances, Regulatory Affairs, Funding, Joint Ventures (JVs) / Development, Consortiums, Litigation and Land Acquisition

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Oversight of Leasing, Marketing, Customer Service, Tenant Relations, Tenant Coordination and Construction, Contract Compliance, Contract Services, Retail Management Units.

- Review and provide legal advice on tender and various documents.

- Review ongoing cases and advice management accordingly.

- Liaise with all governments and non-government agencies to ensure that legal risk are minimized, appropriate courses of action to be taken.

- Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on various- contracts.

- Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to the team.

- Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.

- Review and draft contract, agreements and internal policies, and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.

- Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers.

- Formulate compliance checklist to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all information required is provided accordingly.

- Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.

- Negotiate, review and draft, documentation, for business transactions and prepare and advise on the necessary checklist to be adopted to ensure that information is submitted on time.

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with promoters, developers, and board members related stakeholders.
