Job Summary :Responsible for the overall planning managing and execution/ implementation of all IT Infrastructure and operation at the location. Manage the networking, security cameras weighbridge devices, EPBAX,email,SAP, connectivity and other applications & soft wear while looking for way to grow the network in accost effective way to meet future requirements. The resources will be responsible for infrastructure maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budgets ( CAPEX & OPEX ), managing team and ensure IT equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure Management
Manage and monitor IT infrastructure including servers, databases, applications, antivirus, domain controllers, network devices, and security systems.
Ensure 100% uptime for critical applications such as Email, SAP, Antivirus, and business applications in coordination with Head Office (HO).
Manage ISP connectivity for multiple locations (Hoshiarpur, Gurgaon, Okhla).
Provide secure network access to all employees and associates.
Implement system upgrades and technological enhancements as required.
Ensure hardware lifecycle management, including secure disposal of IT assets.
Design, implement, and monitor IT network architecture for new and existing locations.
Advise staff on security breaches, password changes, and security status updates.
IT Operations & EDP (Electronic Data Processing)
Oversee day-to-day IT operations and coordinate IT support across all business units.
Maintain logs for IT repairs, maintenance, and incidents.
Maintain accurate IT inventory (hardware, software, licenses).
Monitor and manage business applications and systems including:
SAP
Weighbridge (including UMS)
EPABX
CCTV & Security Systems
E-Attendance & Visitor Management Systems
Plan and execute new network setups and configurations.
Monitor vendor SLAs and ensure timely service delivery.
Coordinate vendor payments, AMCs, and renewals.
Conduct random physical stock checks, SAP reconciliation, and EDP monitoring.
Support production planning through system data and analytics.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual IT reports to senior management.
Coordinate with HO for operational alignment and system support.
Information Security & Key IT Initiatives
Implement and monitor IT security policies, access controls, and awareness programs.
Conduct periodic validation of SAP IDs and access rights.
Drive IT initiatives for new office expansions including planning, implementation, and coordination.
Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) for new applications and technology solutions.
Train users on new and existing applications and systems.
Manage IT security initiatives such as password policies, USB access controls, and data protection.
IT Audit, Compliance & Governance
Ensure license compliance for all software and hardware (Microsoft, AutoCAD, Symantec, Sophos, etc.).
Manage vendor contracts and compliance related to IT services.
Oversee AMC renewals for all IT assets and services.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for IT audits and compliance checks.
Manage statutory compliance for weighbridge stamping and calibration.
Ensure adherence to IT policies, processes, and best practices.
Budgeting & Cost Management (CAPEX & OPEX)
Prepare annual IT budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.
Track and manage IT operational and project budgets.
Identify and implement cost-effective IT solutions.
Prepare financial projections, reports, and presentations related to IT systems and investments.
Team Management & Capability Development
Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team with high engagement and accountability.
Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate IT staff performance.
Develop team members as future successors / second-line leadership.
Maintain high performance standards and provide continuous feedback.
IT Training & User Support
Plan and implement annual IT training calendar.
Conduct IT induction for new employees.
Train users on optimal usage of technology and systems.
Support Coverage & Stakeholder Management
Provide IT support across:
Hoshiarpur Plant (90 employees)
Okhla Marketing & MDF Office (55 employees)
Pan-India MDF users
Manage key IT vendors including:
Avery, Leo Trinics, Hikvision, Airtel, Savior, Dell, SonicWall
