Role Overview
The Head - HR will be responsible for leading the complete Human Resources and Industrial Relations function at the Manesar plant. The role requires a seasoned HR professional who can balance strategic HR leadership with hands-on IR expertise, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives while maintaining harmonious employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources (Strategic & Operational):

  • Drive HR strategy in line with business objectives, supporting talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Lead organization development initiatives, succession planning, and capability building.
  • Implement performance management systems, reward & recognition frameworks, and employee engagement programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Partner with business leadership for workforce planning, productivity improvement, and HR digitalization.
Industrial Relations:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of industrial relations at the plant, ensuring harmonious and productive work culture.
  • Handle union negotiations, collective bargaining, and wage settlement discussions effectively.
  • Develop and maintain cordial relations with unions, government authorities, and local stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage grievances, disciplinary actions, and employee disputes in line with company policies and statutory frameworks.
  • Drive initiatives to create a union-management collaboration model with transparency and trust.
Qualifications & Experience
  • MBA / Master's in HR / PM&IR / MSW from a reputed institute.
  • 18-25 years of progressive experience in HR & IR, preferably in automotive / engineering / manufacturing sector.
  • Strong track record in handling union management, wage settlements, and labor law compliance.
  • Proven ability in strategic HR leadership, organizational development, and change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills with ability to influence at all levels.
