Requirements
1. HR Governance, Audit & Compliance (Core Mandate)

  • Act as the single-point owner for HR statutory compliance across all applicable labour laws, including:
  • Factories / Shops & Establishments Acts
  • PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, and PT
  • Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act
  • POSH, Maternity Benefit, Equal Remuneration, and related laws
  • Ensure 100% audit readiness for:
  • Internal audits
  • Statutory / labour inspections
  • External due diligence (Big-4, investors, government bodies)
  • Own and maintain HR compliance documentation, registers, filings, and returns.
  • Periodically conduct HR compliance risk assessments and present findings to CMD.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations with documented corrective actions.
2. HR Policy Framework & Controls
  • Design, implement, and periodically review:
  • HR policies
  • SOPs
  • Delegation of authority (HR-related)
  • Disciplinary and code-of-conduct frameworks
  • Ensure policy adherence across departments with zero tolerance for deviations.
  • Align HR policies with evolving labour laws and organizational strategy.
  • Maintain version-controlled policy documentation and employee acknowledgements.
3. End-to-End Employee Lifecycle Ownership
  • Govern the complete Employee Life Cycle (ELC):
  • Workforce onboarding & induction
  • Confirmation and role stabilization
  • Performance reviews and career progression
  • Discipline management and separations
  • Ensure all employee documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-compliant.
  • Oversee grievance redressal mechanisms with proper documentation and closure timelines.
4. Performance Management & Organizational Discipline
  • Own the Performance Management System (PMS) across the organization.
  • Drive:
  • KRA/KPI frameworks aligned to business objectives
  • Periodic performance reviews
  • Performance improvement plans (PIPs)
  • Ensure PMS data integrity, fairness, and defensibility during audits or disputes.
  • Embed a culture of accountability, discipline, and execution.
5. HR MIS, Analytics & Board Reporting
  • Own the HR MIS architecture and data governance.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and traceability of HR data.
  • Present structured HR dashboards to leadership, covering:
  • Attrition & retention analytics
  • Workforce demographics
  • Compliance status & audit readiness
  • Hiring and exits
  • Maintain employee master data aligned with payroll, finance, and IT systems.
6. Employee Engagement & Culture Stewardship
  • Lead organization-wide employee engagement strategy aligned with retention and productivity goals.
  • Design and execute annual engagement calendars, town halls, and cultural initiatives.
  • Act as the culture custodian, reinforcing organizational values, discipline, and work ethics.
  • Maintain and communicate the annual holiday calendar and engagement plans.
7. Exit, Separation & Risk Mitigation
  • Oversee all separation processes including:
  • Resignations
  • Terminations
  • Retrenchments (if applicable)
  • Conduct structured exit interviews and trend analysis.
  • Prepare management-level Action Taken Reports on attrition drivers.
  • Ensure legally compliant Full & Final settlements in coordination with Finance and IT.
  • Minimize litigation and employee-related legal exposure.

  • Deep expertise in Indian labour laws and HR compliance frameworks.
  • Strong experience handling HR audits and statutory inspections.
  • Proven leadership in HR operations within structured, compliance-driven organizations.
  • High integrity, discretion, and governance mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Resources / Business Administration.
  • 12-18 years of progressive HR experience, with:
  • At least 5+ years in a senior HR leadership role
  • Demonstrated audit and compliance ownership
