Job Title: Head Educator (Preschool)
Location: Dibber International Preschool Patna Reports to: Unit Manager

Job Summary:

The Head Educator in a preschool plays a pivotal role in ensuring high standards of education and operational excellence. This includes conducting classes, overseeing Educator performance, providing training, and maintaining effective communication with parents. The role is vital for fostering the overall growth and development of children and maintaining a collaborative and professional preschool environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Child Development

- Conduct engaging, age-appropriate classes that align with the preschool curriculum.

- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

- Use innovative teaching methodologies to meet the diverse needs of children.

- Monitor and evaluate children's developmental milestones and identify any areas requiring additional support.

- Collaborate with Educators to create individualized learning plans for children when needed.

- Ensure all classroom activities are aligned with the school's philosophy of experiential and play-based learning.

Educator Supervision and Training

- Observe Educator performance regularly to ensure quality and consistency in classroom practices.

- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to Educators to improve their teaching methodologies.

- Prepare and share updates on Educator performance with the Unit Manager/Principal.

- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to enhance Educator skills and professional growth.

- Mentor Educators in lesson planning, classroom management, and child behaviour strategies.

Parent and Community Engagement

- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress, achievements, and areas of improvement.

- Organize parent workshops, meetings, and interactive sessions to foster collaboration between the school and families.

- Serve as a liaison between parents and Educators to address concerns and create a supportive environment for the child's development.

Administrative and Operational Oversight

- Oversee the implementation of the preschool curriculum and ensure adherence to schedules and timelines.

- Manage daily operations, including Educator schedules, classroom activities, and resource allocation.

- Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards within the preschool environment.

- Maintain detailed records of Educator observations, training sessions, and child development milestones for reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

Experience:

- 3-5 years of teaching experience in a preschool.

- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role with responsibilities for Educator training and development.

- Strong understanding of child development and curriculum frameworks.

- Proficiency in classroom observation and Educator mentoring.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
