Responsibilities:
Role Purpose
The Head - Design for Airport Infrastructure will lead the detailed design and engineering efforts for mega airport infrastructure projects across multiple locations under Adani Airport Holdings. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of world-class airport infrastructure that aligns with Adani Group's vision of redefining the city-airport relationship. The incumbent will drive innovative design solutions, integrate advanced technologies, and ensure alignment with the business unit's strategic goals of operational excellence, passenger experience enhancement, and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and engineering processes for large-scale airport infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to global standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions that enhance passenger experience and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the development of detailed design documentation, including architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
• Ensure the incorporation of sustainable and energy-efficient design principles in all projects.
• Manage design consultants and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design outputs.
• Conduct design reviews and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs and timelines.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in airport infrastructure design and incorporate them into project planning.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable standards and guidelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the design team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Support the Chief Project Officer in strategic decision-making and project planning activities.

Domain Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of airport infrastructure design, including terminal buildings, runways, taxiways, and support facilities.
• Expertise in sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems.
• Familiarity with global standards and best practices in airport design and construction.

Digital & Operational Tools

• Proficiency in design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
• Familiarity with project management platforms like Primavera or MS Project.
• Knowledge of simulation tools for passenger flow and operational efficiency analysis.

Leadership Capabilities

• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in engaging with senior leadership and external partners.
• Proven track record of delivering projects within budget and on schedule.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align design objectives with business goals.

This includes the ability to manage diverse teams, ensure timely project delivery, and maintain high-quality standards. As Adani Airport Holdings manages multiple airports across India, the ability to lead and coordinate large-scale, multi-location projects is essential to achieving the company's strategic goals.

3. Strategic Vision and Stakeholder Collaboration

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in design and engineering for large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on airport infrastructure.
• Proven track record of leading design teams for mega projects across multiple locations.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree in Infrastructure Design, Project Management, or a related specialization is preferred.

Years & Type of Experience

• 20+ years of experience in detailed design and engineering for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience in managing design processes for airport infrastructure projects.
