Title: Head - Dental Adhesives (Industrial Products)
Location: Mumbai - Head Office
Reports To: Chief Business Officer (CBO) - Industrial Products
Purpose of the Role:
Pidilite Industries Limited (PIL) has forayed into the Dental segment, establishing a presence across select geographies with a growing portfolio of products. The company now seeks to appoint a dynamic leader to head this business, responsible for scaling operations through geographical expansion, portfolio diversification, and business excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership
Co-create a strategic roadmap for exponential growth of the Dental Adhesives business in alignment with the CBO - Industrial Products.
Identify, design, and drive major strategic initiatives and ensure rigorous execution through structured cascades and governance mechanisms.
2. Innovation & Technology
Develop and implement a technology roadmap aligned with business strategy.
Continuously identify emerging technologies, potential technology partners, and suppliers to strengthen product offerings and innovation capabilities.
3. Route-to-Market Strategy
Optimize the go-to-market model to accelerate adoption and proliferation of Wizdent products across key geographies.
Build efficient distribution and channel strategies to drive market reach and penetration.
4. Team Building & Leadership
Build, develop, and engage a high-performing team across Business Development, Commercial, and Operations functions.
Drive a culture of performance, accountability, and collaboration to deliver business goals.
5. Dealer & Supplier Management
Identify and onboard the right channel partners in existing and new markets.
Strengthen engagement with key performing dealers through regular reviews and joint business planning.
Manage strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, reliable supply, and quality compliance.
6. Sales Management
Ensure achievement of sales volume and value targets for the overall business.
Execute strategic initiatives to gain market share across geographies.
Monitor regional sales performance and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
7. Market Coverage & Penetration
Drive targets for:
a) Market Coverage
b) Market Penetration
c) New Customer Acquisition in both existing and new markets.
8. Working Capital Management
Achieve targets for receivables and inventory management.
Ensure adherence to commercial processes including Commercial Policy, BC, and QBR frameworks.
9. Supply Chain Efficiency
Collaborate with the Supply Chain team and suppliers to ensure optimum inventory levels and high service levels.
Implement robust forecasting and replenishment processes to reduce lead times and improve customer service.
10. Quality Management
Ensure swift closure of quality complaints with effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through quality assurance practices.
Oversee QC and product testing protocols for all materials and production batches.
11. Market Insights & Competitive Benchmarking
Leverage multiple sources such as market visits, team reports, and influencer interactions to identify new product development opportunities.
Conduct regular competitive benchmarking to assess market positioning and product differentiation.
12. Marketing & Brand Development
Design and implement an integrated marketing strategy using platforms such as websites, social media, and print media.
Drive participation in roadshows, exhibitions, and seminars aligned with business strategy.
Build and strengthen Wizdent's brand perception to be at par with global MNC standards.
Enhance customer engagement through KOL programs, workshops, and digital initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education:
Graduate or Post-Graduate degree from a reputed University or B-School.
Experience:
15-25 years of experience in Sales and Business Development, with a proven track record of driving business growth.
Experience in building and scaling businesses in the medical or dental products segment is highly desirable.
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen.
Functional Skills:
Strong organizational, planning, and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in market research and customer insights.
Expertise in relationship management and financial management.
Strong sales and marketing capabilities with a focus on business growth.
