Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations and service flow
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
Plan and supervise mise en place and food preparation
Manage kitchen staff schedules, training, and performance
Control food cost, wastage, and inventory using FIFO
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and FSSAI standards
Coordinate with service team for smooth order execution
Handle vendor coordination and stock planning
Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and organisation in the kitchen
Develop new dishes or improve existing recipes (as required)
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Good understanding of cost control and inventory management
Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
Strong time management and organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cafe or casual dining kitchens
Knowledge of continental / cafe-style menus
Leadership and problem-solving mindset
