Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate
Chef
to lead our kitchen operations and R&D for our growing product line. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine--especially Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Chettinad styles--and an interest in commercial-scale cooking, food preservation, and recipe standardization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and standardize recipes for ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook products
Supervise bulk cooking processes in a food-safe, hygienic environment
Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and quality across batches
Collaborate with the founder on new product development
Monitor ingredient usage, minimize waste, and manage kitchen inventory
Ensure compliance with FSSAI food safety norms and hygiene standards
Oversee a small team of kitchen staff (if applicable)
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen or food manufacturing setup
Expertise in traditional South Indian dishes and gravies (Kerala, Chettinad, Tamil Nadu styles)
Experience with bulk cooking or retort/packaged food production preferred
Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen SOPs
Passionate, reliable, and willing to work in a startup environment
