You should have strong culinary skills, attention to hygiene, and the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality South Indian dishes.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Develop and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food preparation is timely.
Maintain hygiene standards and follow food safety regulations.
Monitor inventory and coordinate with the purchase team for ingredients.
Innovate with new recipes while maintaining authenticity.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a South Indian Chef (minimum 2years).
Deep knowledge of regional cuisines from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.
Expertise in dosa, idli, upma, pongal, sambar, and other traditional dishes.
Strong understanding of spices, cooking techniques, and authentic flavors.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
Good team player and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of vegetarian South Indian dishes.
Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setup.
