About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary operations at our premium restaurant located in the heart of Balewadi High Street. The ideal candidate is a passionate and creative culinary professional with a deep understanding of Indian, Tandoor, Asian (Chinese/Thai), Continental, and Progressive Indian (Modern Indian Fusion) cuisines.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation Design and curate innovative, seasonal menus with a strong focus on taste, aesthetics, and authenticity Supervise daily kitchen operations, maintaining consistency, hygiene, and efficiency Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and disciplined kitchen environment Collaborate with management on cost control, inventory planning, and vendor relations Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards Stay updated with culinary trends, especially in modern Indian fusion and global cuisines

Key Requirements:

8+ years of professional kitchen experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong expertise in Indian, Tandoor, Asian (Chinese/Thai), Continental, and Progressive Indian cuisines Proven ability to lead a team and manage high-pressure kitchen environments Excellent palate, creativity in plating, and a passion for modern food trends Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Culinary degree/diploma is preferred but not mandatory
