Job Title: Head Chef - Indian Snacks Specialist Location: Appetite Avenue - Thanisandra Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Chef with expertise in preparing a wide variety of Indian snacks such as sandwiches, French fries, sweetcorn, and more. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary excellence, a keen understanding of Indian flavors, and the ability to lead a team in delivering exceptional snack offerings to our patrons. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a diverse menu of Indian snacks, including but not limited to sandwiches, French fries, sweetcorn, chaats, and other popular snacks. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety standards. Create innovative and visually appealing snack presentations that delight our customers. Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation methods. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs to maximize profitability. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop seasonal menus and special promotions featuring Indian snacks. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, complying with health and sanitation regulations. Stay updated on current food trends, new ingredients, and techniques related to Indian snack preparation. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant, specializing in Indian cuisine and snacks. Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
