Job Description

The Head Cashier is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the billing and cash counter in a textile retail store. This role ensures smooth customer transactions, maintains accurate cash handling procedures, supervises cashier staff, and provides excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily cash transactions and ensure accurate billing. Maintain cash float, monitor cash drawers and oversee end-of-day cash reconciliation. Handle refunds, returns,exchanges, and resolve payment-related issues. Prepare daily cash reports and coordinate with accounts/finance department. Lead and supervise cashier team members. Address customer queries and resolve complaints related to billing or pricing. Ensure fast, smooth and efficient checkouts experience for customers.

Qualification & Skills

Bachelor's degree preferred 1-3 years of experience as Cashier, Senior Cashier or Head Cashier. Strong leadership and communication skills. High level of accuracy, responsibility and integrity. Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
