Process Improvement and Efficiency:
Initiate and lead process improvement initiatives, focusing on process excellence, cost optimization, and leveraging technology to increase productivity and efficiency.
Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments (sales, claims, IT, compliance) and external partners (Insurers, Agents & service providers) to ensure seamless service and alignment with business objectives.
Risk and Compliance Management:
Implement and monitor policies and procedures to mitigate regulatory, legislative, and operational risks. Ensure all motor insurance activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and mentor a team, providing leadership, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating training and development to ensure a high-performing team.
Project and Program Management:
Lead the design, development, and delivery of strategic projects and programs within the motor insurance domain, ensuring they are completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to delivery performance, risk exposure, and client satisfaction to senior management.
Underwriting Collaboration:
Collaborate with the motor underwriting department, providing input on market trends and client feedback to ensure competitive and compliant product offerings and pricing.
Required Skills and Qualification:
Extensive experience (typically 8-15 years) in the insurance industry, with a strong focus on motor insurance, operations, and service delivery.
Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role.
Experience in handling large teams or multiple delivery streams.
Skills:
Deep understanding of motor insurance products, industry dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership, people management, and team-building abilities.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in insurance software, CRM tools, and data analysis.
Strategic thinking with an innovation focus, including exposure to automation and process re-engineering.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree / Post Graduation in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
Preferred Background:
General Insurance / Banking / NBFC / Loans industry.
