The Head - Architectural Planning & Development will be responsible for leading the architectural design, planning, and development functions of the organization. The role involves overseeing project conceptualization, master planning, design coordination, and ensuring that all architectural outputs align with the company's strategic, functional, and aesthetic goals. The position requires a strong balance of creative vision and technical expertise, along with leadership in managing cross-functional design teams and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architectural design and planning process for all projects from concept to completion.
Develop master plans and design guidelines in line with project objectives and statutory requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure design feasibility and integration.
Approve architectural drawings, layouts, and design revisions while maintaining design integrity.
Oversee land use analysis, feasibility studies, and site development plans.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental norms, and urban planning regulations.
Manage budgets, timelines, and quality standards for all design-related deliverables.
Drive innovation in design by adopting sustainable and modern architectural practices.
Liaise with clients, government authorities, and stakeholders for design approvals.
Mentor and lead the architectural and planning teams to achieve organizational design excellence.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong expertise in architectural design, urban planning, and project coordination.
In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM applications.
Excellent understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and construction standards.
Strong visualization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Strategic thinker with attention to design detail and aesthetics.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) - mandatory.
Master's in Architecture, Urban Design, or Planning (preferred).
Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA) - preferred.
Experience:
Minimum
12-18 years
of experience in architectural design and project planning.
Proven experience in large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
Prior leadership experience in managing design teams and external consultants.
