Function: Business Development / Aftermarket
Role Objective
The role is responsible for leading and scaling the aftermarket business, including customer support, spare parts, warranty services, and post-sales operations. The incumbent will drive revenue growth, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure seamless integration of aftermarket activities with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Aftermarket Strategy & Leadership-
Develop and execute a comprehensive aftermarket strategy aligned with overall business goals
Lead and mentor teams across aftermarket sales, service operations, technical support, and spare parts
Build a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
Work closely with senior leadership on strategic and financial planning
Revenue Growth & Profitability-
Drive growth in aftermarket sales including spare parts, service contracts, and warranty programs
Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and service models
Design competitive pricing strategies while maintaining healthy margins
Own forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning for the aftermarket function
Customer Experience & Service Excellence-
Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely service, support, and issue resolution
Oversee technical support and troubleshooting for sealing and gasket products
Manage warranty policies, claims processing, and resolution timelines
Implement customer retention and loyalty initiatives
Spare Parts & Supply Chain Management-
Oversee spare parts inventory planning and availability
Optimize supply chain and logistics to reduce lead times and improve delivery performance
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cost-efficient and reliable parts distribution
Supplier & Quality Management-
Build strong relationships with suppliers and partners
Ensure quality standards for aftermarket products and services
Monitor supplier performance, audits, and corrective actions
Technology, Systems & Innovation-
Drive adoption of digital tools such as CRM, ERP, and customer service platforms
Introducing innovative aftermarket service offerings and business models
Use data and analytics to improve sales, service performance, and inventory efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting-
Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to provide product feedback and improvement input.
Support sales and marketing teams in promoting aftermarket offerings
Present regular performance and financial reports to senior management

Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Master's degree or professional certifications in Aftermarket / Supply Chain / Sales preferred
Experience Requirement
18-23 years of experience in aftermarket, service, or business development roles
Prior exposure to automotive, industrial, gasket, sealing, or engineering products preferred
Experience managing large teams and pan-India or multi-location operations
