Job Description

Key Responsibilities for Head Accountant.



GST and Tax Compliance:



Manage and file all Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns (GSTR-9). Ensure accurate reconciliation of the company's books of accounts with GSTR-2A/2B data to maximize Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims. Handle all aspects of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Tax Collected at Source (TCS) compliance, including deduction, deposit, and return filing. Stay up-to-date with changes in GST and other tax regulations to ensure continuous compliance.

Credit and Debit Management:



Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), performing timely reconciliations of vendor and customer ledgers along with Billing & Accounts Team. Issue and reconcile credit and debit notes in compliance with GST regulations along with Billing & Accounts Team.. Oversee bank and other account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions along with Banking Team.

Manufacturing Accounting and Financial Reporting:



Manage cost accounting and inventory accounting. Handle day-to-day accounting records and maintain the general ledger. Support the month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements along with CA / Account Team. Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and advise senior management.

Audit and Internal Controls:



Coordinate and assist with internal, external, and GST audits. Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal financial controls.

Team and Operations Management:



Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff and delegate tasks as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and ensure financial data accuracy across departments.

Qualifications and Skills



Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (CA, CMA) is a plus. Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role within the Services / Manufacturing industry.

Technical Proficiency:



Proven expertise in managing all aspects of GST, TDS, and TCS compliance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting standards. Advanced proficiency with accounting software such as ZOHO (Preferred) , Tally, ERP, SAP, or similar ERP systems . Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and Vlookups.

Abilities:



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with internal teams and external auditors. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
