? Location: Bengaluru India Technical Center
Summary:
? As an experienced Hardware Test Lead, you will be involved in the verifica?on and qualifica?on of Power Electronics Hardware design for Electronic Turbochargers and Electronic Boosters
? Leading a team of Hardware test engineers and responsible for project deliverables and customer sa?sfac?on - Test plan/strategies defini?on, Test Planning, Es?ma?ng, Risks, mee?ng Quality, Customer commitments & mee?ng compliance standards.
? Responsible for co-ordina?ng the scope of tes?ng, aligning tes?ng priori?es & ?melines, communica?ng the test results.
? Leading the team for performing circuit design analysis, and tes?ng/valida?on of Hardware circuits for func?onality and performance under varying condi?ons.
? Involved with the team for tes?ng & debugging complex power electronics, PCB level tes?ng and diagnose circuit board failures.
? Guide and direct the team to deliver quality products within the desired process framework.
? Reviewing and suppor?ng the approval of test input documents, such as module descrip?on documents, architectures, and requirements.
? Reviewing and approving test specifica?ons and test results
? Par?cipate in design reviews, requirement reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs
? Planning and defining work packages according to agile project management methods such as Scrum/Kanban in JIRA - Responsible to ensure all func?on blocks are defined and tested - both in a standalone and integrated context.
? Generate the test reports (coverage, results, test insights and failure trends ...) and present to internal and external customers/Cross func?onal teams. Maintain detailed and traceable documentation including test plans, procedures, test reports, and compliance data.
? Planning (schedules/resources) and coordina?ng work packages within the test team in the project
? Se?ng up and maintaining project-specific Hardware test infrastructure including Hardware equipment test tools and electronic components required
? Failure Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA) for failures from lab, field, or customer feedback, Drive initiatives for test process improvement and product reliability enhancement.
? Preparing and conduc?ng technical and project-specific training for testers
? Will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development and testing teams working on projects involving multiple locations.
? Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in electronics tes?ng, verifica?on technologies, and industry trends. Proac?vely implement best prac?ces and cu?ng-edge techniques to maintain our compe??ve edge
Work Experience/Skills:
? Good Experience in Leading a team of Hardware test engineers and has hands-on with Electronics Test team management.
? Very good working knowledge of verifica?on of Power Electronics Hardware in the automo?ve sector.
? Very good knowledge in power-electronic theories, circuit design, and measurement techniques to ensure that electronic product meets specified standards and performance criteria. Experience with tes?ng of mixed signals electronics designs, power switching circuits in Automo?ve Embedded Power Electronics Hardware.
? Hands-on experience in tes?ng & debugging complex power electronics, PCB level tes?ng and diagnose circuit board failures. Strong abili?es to Interpret schema?cs/requirements/data sheets, comprehend PCB layout of inverter stages, transceivers, microcontrollers, power modules (with IGBT, MOSFET etc), Pre-drivers etc. and interpret the design calcula?ons and applying various tes?ng methodologies to uncover poten?al issues in the hardware.
? Strong knowledge of converter/inverter topologies (AC-DC, DC-DC, motor controls).
? Strong knowledge of Electronics tes?ng tools such as Func?on/ signal generators, Oscilloscope, Climate chamber, power supplies. Familiarity with Al?um and Simula?on tools with be desirable.
? Good Experience working in a High Voltage lab environment & handling high voltage instruments, board tes?ng, board bring up etc & know-how of using Vector CAN tools like CANape, CANOe will be advantage.
? Well versed in HW test methods and test management.
? Very good working Knowledge on requirement, Change & defect management tools like Polarion, JIRA
? Knowledge of quality compliance measures such as reviews, Automo?ve SPICE.
? Familiarity with compliance and safety standards (like IEC, AIS, ISO)
? Detail-oriented with a high standard for documenta?on and test setup quality ? Possesses sharp analy?cal skills, excellent problem-solving abili?es, and me?culous a?en?on to detail to ensure that every product meets stringent quality standards and complies with industry regula?ons.
? Strong interpersonal skills and high intercultural social competence
? Good verbal and wri?en communica?on skills to work effec?vely with teams spread geographically and Agile in approach
