Job Description

A Hardware Intern assists engineers in designing, prototyping, testing, and debugging electronic components, PCBs, and systems. Responsibilities typically include soldering, troubleshooting, component research, and documentation to support product development. Ideal candidates possess basic electronics knowledge, familiarity with tools like oscilloscopes or CAD software, and strong debugging skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development:

Assist in PCB design, circuit simulation, and prototyping of hardware components.

Testing & Debugging:

Perform hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic prototypes and systems using lab equipment.

Component Research:

Assist with sourcing, organizing, and evaluating hardware components.

Documentation:

Document test results, design iterations, and technical specifications.

Support:

Assist engineering teams with assembly, soldering, and system maintenance.

Requirements & Skills

Currently pursuing or recently completed BE/BTech in Electronics, Electrical, or related fields. Hands-on experience with electronics, such as soldering, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. Familiarity with EDA tools (e.g., KiCad, Altium, Eagle) for PCB design is highly valued. Basic understanding of embedded systems, IoT, or microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, ESP32).

Potential Focus Areas

Embedded Hardware:

Designing for IoT devices and firmware integration.

ASIC/VLSI Design:

Verification and design of chips.

Robotics/Automation:

Developing hardware for automated systems.
