:
Independently own end-to-end hardware design and verification for analog, digital, mixed-signal, and RF circuits, from concept through prototype validation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Analog, Digital, RF, Mechanical, PCB Layout, Software, and PV&V to deliver robust embedded hardware solutions.
Design and develop 32-bit microcontroller and microprocessor-based embedded systems (ARM, STM, PIC32, etc.) with a strong focus on reliability and manufacturability.
Apply best practices in multilayer, high?density PCB design, driving design reviews, minimizing errors, and implementing continuous process improvements using Altium Designer.
Create and maintain detailed schematics and PCB layouts, and investigate and resolve DFM issues in partnership with manufacturing and suppliers.
Support component engineering with second?sourcing, obsolescence management, and BOM optimization for cost and availability.
Design and build test fixtures, jigs, and programming tools for development, validation, and production test environments.
Perform competitive product analysis, including performance benchmarking and BOM cost estimation, to guide product and architecture decisions.
Plan and execute system-level and prototype testing, operating lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analyzers, RF measurement tools, and automated test systems.
Apply expertise in DFMEA, VA/VE, DFM, DFT, failure analysis, and root cause analysis to improve quality and reduce field issues.
Assist in product compliance and certification activities (IEC, CE, FCC, UL), preparing test samples, documentation, and resolving non?conformities.
Prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and presentations, and evaluate hardware-software compatibility to recommend specifications and design trade-offs.
Required skills and experience:
Proven experience in 32?bit microcontroller-based product design with strong analog, digital, mixed?signal, and high?speed circuit design skills.
Proficiency with lab and test equipment (oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators, spectrum analyzers) and automated test setups.
Hands-on experience with Altium schematic capture and PCB layout, high-density mixed?signal PCB design, and interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, I2C, SPI, CAN, and RS485.
Power supply design expertise including DC?DC converters, SMPS topologies (Flyback, PFC, LLC), and LDOs.
Experience working with sensors, transducers, relays, and microcontroller interfaces, plus HMI hardware such as LCD/TFT/OLED displays and resistive/capacitive touch.
Knowledge of SPICE-based circuit simulation, signal integrity, stress, and power analysis, and close collaboration with manufacturing teams for high?volume products.
* Prior exposure to Fire Detection Systems or other safety?critical systems is a strong advantage.
