Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced freelance Hardware Engineers to provide onsite support for client offices and data centres. The role includes installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT hardware such as desktops, laptops, servers, storage devices, and peripherals, along with preparing detailed service reports.

Interested candidates must register and create an engineer profile on our company platform: proengineerz.com. All assignments will be allocated through the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, servers, storage devices).

Diagnose and resolve hardware faults including motherboard, RAM, HDD/SSD, power supply, and network interface issues.

Replace or upgrade defective parts and components.

Conduct preventive maintenance and basic health checks on IT hardware.

Document service activities and prepare structured reports.

Escalate unresolved hardware issues to higher-level support teams when required.

Ensure compliance with client's site entry and safety/security guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience as a Hardware Engineer / Desktop Support Engineer / IT Support Technician.

Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals.

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing desktops, laptops, and servers.

Familiarity with BIOS/UEFI configuration and hardware diagnostics tools.

Basic understanding of networking and operating systems (Windows/Linux).

Good technical documentation and reporting skills.

Excellent client communication and problem-solving ability.

Willingness to travel and work onsite.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, or Electronics (preferred).

Must register on proengineerz.com and create an engineer profile.

Freelance/contract-based availability.

Valid ID for data centre/site entry.

Deliverables:

Hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair tasks completed as per project scope.

Daily/weekly progress updates.

Final service/maintenance report submission.

Job Types: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹10,086.00 - ₹35,394.84 per month
