Role & Responsibilities:

Perform in-house environmental and prototype testing & validation of new products such as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS/OBITS), Passenger Information Systems (PIS), Roof Lamps, Audio Amplifiers, Vehicle Tracking Devices (VTS/VTD), Variable Message Displays (VMD), DC-DC converters, and LED signages. Develop hardware circuit diagrams and PCB layouts (up to 8 layers). Provide inputs for mechanical design and wiring harness, prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Change Notes (ECN), perform component selection and testing. Support compliance with IS/ISO/IEC/BIS/AIS'S standards. Operate and utilize CRO, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, and other test equipment effectively. Prepare samples for lab testing and implement design modifications to address failures. Interact with customers to gather requirements related to electronics testing & validation. Generate validation reports and certificates as per OEM requirements and share through proper communication channels. Document in-house test reports, assembly procedures, repair procedures, and production test procedures. Complete Design Verification and Validation Plan (DVVP) as received from OEMs/customers. Implement circuit changes in existing designs based on customer requirements. Provide support to the production team during trial runs and mass production. Coordinate with Customer/Service teams to resolve field-related issues. Conduct field failure analysis and prepare corrective action measures.

Required Skill Set:

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in hardware circuit design and PCB layout development (up to 8 layers). Knowledge of electronic components, their selection, and testing methodologies. Hands-on experience with CRO, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer and other diagnostic tools. Exposure to environmental and prototype testing for automotive/consumer electronic systems. Familiarity with standards & compliance: IS, ISO, IEC, BIS, AIS. Experience in Design Verification & Validation (DVVP). Knowledge of DC-DC converters, LED signages, audio amplifiers, VTS/VMD/ITS systems is a plus.

Software Skills:

Proficiency in PCB design tools Altium Designer & KiCAD Basic understanding of mechanical CAD integration and wiring harness tools. Knowledge of documentation & reporting tools (MS Office, etc.).

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication & customer interaction abilities. Team collaboration with R&D, Production, and Service teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
