Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardware Design Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in electronic product development. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end hardware design, including schematic design, PCB layout (placement, routing, impedance control, DFM/DFT), validation, and testing of embedded systems, IoT, and communication-based products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop schematics for embedded hardware using microcontrollers, processors, and associated peripherals.
Select electronic components considering cost, availability, reliability, and compliance requirements.
Perform PCB layout independently (2-8 layers) ensuring proper placement, routing, impedance matching, high-speed design rules, and DFM/DFT compliance.
Work with high-speed interfaces: DDR RAM, eMMC, Ethernet, Display (MIPI/LVDS), Camera (MIPI CSI/parallel).
Integrate communication and connectivity modules: GPS/GNSS, GSM/3G/4G/LTE, BLE, Wi-Fi, CAN, RS232, RS485, USB, SPI, IC.
Conduct circuit simulations, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis.
Carry out hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, etc.).
Ensure compliance with standards (EMI/EMC, safety, automotive/industrial as applicable).
Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and production teams to achieve project goals.
Support prototype development, validation, and documentation for production release.
Drive root-cause analysis and implement design improvements for quality and reliability.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
2-4 years of hands-on experience in hardware design and PCB layout.
Strong knowledge of analog, digital, power electronics, and mixed-signal circuit design.
Proficiency in schematic and PCB design tools: Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, KiCad, .
Proven experience in multi-layer PCB layout with high-speed signals, differential pairs, impedance control, and EMI/EMC considerations.
Hands-on experience with:
Memory & Storage: DDR RAM, eMMC, Flash
Connectivity: Ethernet, USB, CAN, RS232, RS485, SPI, IC
Interfaces: Display (MIPI/LVDS), Camera (MIPI CSI/parallel)
Modules: GPS/GNSS, GSM/3G/4G/LTE, BLE, Wi-Fi
Experience in power supply design (DC-DC converters, LDOs, battery charging circuits).
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using lab instruments.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
