Young Professional - Handicraft & Textile Sector Expert
to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of projects in the handicraft, handloom, and textile sector. The candidate will work closely with artisans, clusters, and government stakeholders to promote traditional crafts, enhance market linkages, and strengthen livelihoods in the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in
handicraft, handloom, and textile-related projects
, especially in rural and artisan-led clusters
Assist in planning and executing programs related to
skill development, design intervention, cluster development, and entrepreneurship promotion
Engage with local artisans, weavers, cooperatives, and FPOs to support production quality, branding, and product diversification
Support capacity-building workshops and training sessions for artisans, designers, and producer groups
Coordinate with government departments, NGOs, exporters, and industry stakeholders for seamless program delivery
Ensure quality documentation, field reporting, and timely execution of deliverables
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
in Textile Design, Fashion Technology, Handicrafts, Rural Development, or related fields with
Certificate in Handloom Technology
Certificate in Fashion & Textile Design
Certificate in Natural Dyeing and Block Printing
Certificate in Artisan Entrepreneurship / Rural Business Management
Craft Cluster Development Executive Training Certificate
Export Management for Handicrafts Certificate
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience
working on
long-term government sector projects
Minimum 1 year of experience
in
industrial development
related to handicrafts, handloom, or textile clusters
Desired Skills:
