Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Colorist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of color theory and have a flair for creativity in hair coloring techniques. You will be responsible for providing exceptional hair coloring services while ensuring a positive experience for our clients. Your expertise in various hair services, including extensions and styling, will contribute to the overall success of our salon.

Duties

Perform hair coloring services, including highlights, lowlights, balayage, and color corrections. Apply hair extensions and provide consultations on suitable options for clients. Utilize salon software, including MINDBODY, for appointment scheduling and client management. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in the work area. Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and understanding their needs. Assist with front desk duties, including answering phones and managing appointments. Mentor junior staff members in hair coloring techniques and salon best practices. Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or nail care to enhance client experience. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to provide the best service possible.

Qualifications

Valid cosmetology or barbering license is required. Proficient in color theory and various hair coloring techniques. Experience with straight razor cutting techniques is preferred. Familiarity with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Previous experience in retail sales within a salon environment is a plus. Ability to perform hair threading and other specialized services is desirable. Knowledge of retail math to assist in inventory management and sales tracking is beneficial. A passion for mentoring others and sharing knowledge within the team.
