We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN)

to join our healthcare team in the Republic of Nauru. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive care in

obstetrics and gynecology

, support maternal health initiatives, and work in a

low-resource but high-impact environment

. The position is open for

short-term contractual deployment

or

long-term assignment

.

Key Responsibilities

Provide full-spectrum

OB-GYN care

, including prenatal, antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care Perform

gynecological consultations

, diagnostics, and surgical procedures Lead and participate in

labour and delivery

management Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure safe deliveries and quality care Manage

complicated pregnancies

and emergency obstetric cases Conduct

health education

and promote reproductive health awareness Participate in

on-call duties

and

multidisciplinary team meetings

Mentor and support

junior medical staff and local healthcare providers

Essential Criteria

Medical degree and

recognized specialist qualification

in Obstetrics & Gynecology Fully

licensed and registered

to practice in home country Minimum

5 years post-specialist qualification experience

preferred Proven experience in both

obstetric and gynecological care

, including surgical procedures Previous work in

resource-limited or remote settings

is highly desirable Strong

clinical leadership

, communication, and cultural competency skills
