Job Description

1. Introduction

a. We run

Little Spartans, a gross-motor skill development classes at various locations in Chennai (Annanagar, Adyar, KK Nagar, Kilpauk, Mahalingapuram, T Nagar. Kolathur, Thiruvanmiyur). We also run,

a.

Little Flippers, a child-friendly recreational gymnastics program (for 4-12 year olds)

b.

Little Graspers, a toddler gymnastics program (for 2-3 year olds)

The job entails

handling a group of 10-15 children

, either working alone or along with another coach, to impart physical skills using Little Spartans training methodology & lesson plans.

2. Job Details

The applicant is required to manage the group by introducing the activity, impart physical activity & game skills, keeping the class lively, managing conflicts, handling teachers, and performing class-based administrative duties.

COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTS

- must have trained in gymnastics and/or parkour

- must have experience teaching children

Additional Requirements

- resourceful

- excellent in communication (mostly English but also with other Indian languages)

- great with kids

- lots of patience

- healthy & fit

BONUS SKILLS (candidates with the following skills will be given preference)

- dancing

- singing

- zumba

The job will require the applicant to be physically active during the class. It is preferred if the candidate has a 2-wheeler to commute.

3. Work Hours

PART-TIME - Working hours will be in the mornings (in case of programs in schools) and in the evenings (for after-school programs). Candidates can expect 8-10 hrs of classes per week (maximum)

FULL-TIME

- 9am - 7pm with sufficient breaks in-between for rest and relaxation.

4. Salary

- Part-timers will be paid between Rs.500-1000 per hour depending on the candidate's skill & suitability

- Full-timers will be paid Rs.35000 and above depending on the candidate's skill & suitability.

5. Contract

For full-time employment, candidate must agree to min of 2 year employment contract at the time of signing.
