We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Service Associate to join our Food & Beverage team in Chennai, India. As a key member of our F&B service team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism.

  • Greet and warmly welcome guests, escorting them to their tables and ensuring their comfort throughout their dining experience
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and making recommendations when appropriate
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to established service standards and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of tables, side stations, and dining areas
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including table setting and side work
  • Upsell and promote food and beverage offerings to maximize sales revenue
  • Apply food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) in all aspects of service
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service operations
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Process payments accurately and maintain proper cash handling procedures
  • Assist in other Food & Beverage outlets during peak times or as required
  • Stay informed about menu changes, daily specials, and hotel promotions
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining a professional attitude
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in hotel management preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to speak additional languages is a plus
  • Basic understanding of local languages is advantageous
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages
  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided
  • Passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
