  • Responsible for building awareness, engagement and understanding of Quality within the SAMEA region.
  • Ensure town offices and ports within the region are prepared to respond in a crisis.
Key Responsibilities

Operational Quality System and Quality Assurance


  • Develop and maintain effective Quality System Standards in line with the policy promulgated in the Group Quality Manual including but not limited to documentation management and control, record keeping, and procedural definition of all work activities for the purpose of eliminating defects, minimising process variation and optimising safety outcomes.
  • Maintain a system of Quality Assurance audits in line with the policy promulgated in the Group Quality Manual, including a best practice internal / special purpose audit program utilising the Company approved Aviation Quality Database as the IT support tool.
  • Continuously review the Quality System Standards and its component parts to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness as well as assessing opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct auditing services, as required and under Operational Services Agreement and Service Appendix provisions, for Cathay Pacific fully owned subsidiaries.
  • Conduct an annual Management Review report of the SAMEA region consolidated port audit program results, and any internal / special purpose audit results.
  • Ensure delivery of the internal / special purpose audits on schedule, within limits of scope and recorded accurately and in a timely manner in the Company approved Aviation Quality Database.Act as a Lead Auditor or Auditor for all Consolidated Port Audits within the SAMEA region, Internal Audits and Special Purpose Audits.
  • Measure the level of quality awareness and engagement within the region.

Business Resilience

  • Working with the Business Resilience Specialist, act as a conduit between GSORM Business Resilience and the ports within the SAMEA region.
  • Plan, practise and execute Emergency and Accident Response activities (in coordination with Business Resilience team in Hong Kong) at the individual stations and town office.
  • Ensure Business Resilience Specialist regularly participates in the E&A and BCP exercises and tabletops, in the office and at the ports.
  • Ensure program in place for induction and training of all staff with a crisis response task such that they are familiar with the airline E&A plan, humanitarian response, IT systems used for Crisis and Business Continuity.
  • Coordinate with port management, local law enforcement, airport rescue and firefighting crews, security staff and airport stakeholders to ensure all parties are aware of the Cathay Pacific (CX) emergency response plan and what is expected.
  • Ensure that the emergency response program complies with all federal and local regulations.
  • Ensure Town Office and ports\xe2\x80\x99 E&A and BC plans are fit for purpose, updated and compliant with all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Ensure ports complete the annual refresher exercise for E&A and BCP.

General Tasks

  • Represent the Company and/or Department at relevant meetings in a professional and loyal manner.
  • Assist in the response to a crisis involving the Cathay Group airlines as a member of the Care Team.
  • Develop and maintain an effective relationship with the regional management, airports and cargo teams based on mutual trust and understanding, including participation in departmental management meetings as appropriate.
  • Provide input to HGQ in relation to SAMEA section budget.
  • Extensive duty travel required.
  • Other duties as directed by HGQ.
  • Adhere to company policies as published in the Cathay Group Airlines manuals and intranet.
  • Conduct periodic assessments and/or evaluations for auditors, as required.
Requirements

Education qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline is a must


Professional qualifications (if applicable)

  • Lead auditor qualifications.
  • Dangerous goods awareness qualification.
  • IOSA auditor qualifications.


Experiences

  • 7-10 years operational experience in the airline industry, preferably in cargo handling and/or ground operations.
  • 5-7 years in a management role.
  • 3-5 years lead auditor experience.

Job related knowledge
  • Strong understanding of cargo handling and/or ground operations.
  • Care Team training.
  • Safety management system.
  • Lean awareness.
  • Knowledge of IOSA & ISAGO.

Skills and language requirements
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
  • Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • People management, change management and project management skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Data and process literate.
