We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Cisco Design Engineer with over 16 years of progressive experience in designing and architecting complex enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will lead high-impact design initiatives across global networks, ensuring alignment with security, performance, and scalability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and Design advanced network solutions involving Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers (9800 series), ISE, SD-WAN (Viptela), and security solutions.
Develop high-level and low-level network designs (HLDs/LLDs) and ensure they align with business goals and technical standards.
Lead design and implementation of Cisco ACI, ISE integrations, wireless LAN design (including RF planning for 9120/9130 APs), and Secure Access solutions.
Perform capacity planning, network assessments, and risk analysis for design decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, server, cloud, and application teams, to ensure cohesive design integration.
Review and validate third-party vendor designs and solutions.
Lead customer discussions, workshops, and design reviews, presenting technical architecture confidently.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building internal design standards and best practices.
Participate in RFP/RFI responses and solution scoping.
Technical Skills:
Expert-level knowledge in:
o Cisco Enterprise Networking (Catalyst 9K, ISR/ASR routers)
o Cisco Wireless (WLC 9800, APs like 9120, 9130)
o Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela)
o Cisco ISE, AAA, and 802.1X architecture
o Cisco ACI and Data Center design
o Routing & Switching (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, etc.)
Proficient in:
o Network Security (Firewalls, segmentation, access control)
o Virtualization and Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, GCP networking basics)
o Automation tools (Python, Ansible preferred)
o Network monitoring & documentation tools (e.g., Cisco Prime, DNA Center, NetBrain (1.) To identify attrition percentage in accounts and take up initiatives to reduce the same (2.) To perform value addition activities (CIP & SIP) and implement strategies to improve productivity. (3.) To implement Profit Implement Plan (PIP), review Budget vs. Actual Cost and analyse the deviation to plan strategies to reduce deviation through levers like Automation & self-driven initiatives. (4.) To ensure retention of accounts that are due for renewal or maintain high level of customer satisfaction (ACSAT) (5.) To ensure that all responsibilities and project deliverables are completed within SLAs through effective team management and monthly reviews (6.) To ensure generation of an account level EE & EN revenue (7.) To ensure absorption of freshers as per the defined account targets
