Develop and drive the vision for Automation and AI within the IT Infrastructure Data Center team, ensuring alignment with the overall company strategy.
Establish a fitting framework, Identify new automation & AI opportunities (potential use cases) in collaboration with operational teams and communities, with a focus on repeated, complex, high-impact tasks.
Evaluate and implement new automation tools and adjust framework to streamline processes across cloud and on-premise environments.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Collaborate with Innovation and AI Ambassadors to identify potential AI use cases based on GenAI, Machine Learning frameworks and Natural Language processing and provide technical expertise in their execution.
Build and maintain a strong, cross-functional virtual team consisting of Subject Matter Experts (SPOCs) from various operational squads.
Overcome the apprehensions and fear in operational teams towards Automation and AI, take them in confidence demonstrating the business outcomes and benefits of simplification.
Motivate, support, and coach SPOCs to foster a culture of continuous improvement and automation excellence.
Automation Lifecycle Management:
Collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders to ensure that automation projects align with business objectives and operational needs.
Oversee the end-to-end automation lifecycle, ensuring that projects progress as planned, are delivered on time, and meet defined KPIs.
Utilize APIs to integrate pre-trained models and AI services into existing systems and workflows.
Conduct research and stay updated on the latest AI trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve AI capabilities within the CDC area.
Provide technical support and guidance to non-technical team members, simplifying complex AI concepts for broader understanding and adoption.
Document AI processes, models, and solutions to ensure transparency and facilitate knowledge sharing across the CDC area.
Participate in AI-related training and workshops to upskill employees and promote AI literacy
Vendor Management:
Engage with external vendors, forums to understand what's new in the market, identify automation solutions or tools that complement the organization's needs, ensuring smooth collaboration and partnership.
Lead conversations with vendors on product features and optimizations to ensure successful integration and leverage solutions.
Identify and facilitate training and development for CDC area, ensuring the skills and knowledge are progressively improving to execute automation effectively.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management:
Prepare and present monthly reports on automation progress, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
Deliver professional presentations to senior management, showcasing the value of automation initiatives and aligning progress with overall company goals.
Maintain clear and transparent communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective decision-making.
Good working knowledge of Data Center, IT Infrastructure and Operations
Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in IT Automation and AI, with a proven track record of leading successful automation initiatives within a complex infrastructure environment.
Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, with the ability to drive results through collaboration and motivation.
Good understanding of ITIL and Devops framework.
Strong experience with cloud automation tools and on-premise solutions, preferably in a data center or IT operations context.
Good infrastructure knowledge in data centre operations to automate in Operating System, Compute, Storage, Backup, Network, etc @ on-prem and Cloud Technologies.
Good Knowledge of Cognitive Services, Machine Learning and familiar with GenAI framework.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Ability to assess and mitigate security vulnerabilities in automated workflows.
Industry certifications related to cloud technologies, automation, AI (AWS and Azure).
Familiarity with MLOps practices (e.g., model monitoring, CI/CD for ML pipelines).
Experience integrating automation with enterprise systems
Understanding of AI/automation risks, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle escalations, and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous scenarios.
