Your role
A Development and Operations Engineer is a core engineering role responsible for all aspects of application build, deployment and monitoring. The DevOps Engineer has the goal of creating a zero touch, secure and enjoyable delivery process built from the best in class tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scope: Application Build: Continuous Integration – from approved open source libraries to all internal source dependencies resulting in the publishing of a verified release artefact to a binary repository.
• Scope: Deployment & Orchestration: Continuous Delivery - taking release artefacts and deploying in repeatable and elastic way across environments - including server side, Containers (Docker), Orchestration (Kubernetes) and public /private Cloud (preferably MS Azure)
• Scope: Operation and support - process & technical interaction with "Site Reliability Engineering".

Your expertise

• Hands-on DevOps engineer with 5+ years of experience in application release and deployment.
• Thought leader growing the culture of DevOps at UBS.
• Communication and advocacy for the value of DevOps as a practice
• Design, engineer and operate on a zero touch basis to the principle of "everything as code"
• Develop and enable Continuous Integration, Delivery, Test and Support
• Knowledge of building Azure resources like VM, AKS.
• Knowledge of ADO pipeline in Azure
• Good Linux debugging skills and knowledge of Scheduling tools
• Develop patterns so that all functional and non-functional capability can be monitored for health
• Develop application structure and operation to make it easy to debug and support in test & production
• Design, implement and automate processes to defend integrity, security & auditability of SDLC
• Automated Provisioning, availability, optimization & operational cover of all build & test environments
• Select, implement & introduce best in class technologies & practices to keep SDLC optimal and current
• Defending our business and reputation by ensuring the integrity and security of relevant processes at all

Key Deliverables:

• Rock solid build chain with sufficient capacity, flexibility to support timely build, test and deploy
• Achieve Zero touch deployment and orchestration for Test & production. (Continuous Integration & Delivery)
• Automated controls and process to audit and govern CI / CD pipeline.
• Enable an increased build, test and release cadence
• Easy to monitor, debug and support applications in test and production context.
• Digital Audit trails for SDLC to support continuous improvement via digital Metrics & gamification.
