Role: GSE Principle Engineer
Relevant Experience: 10 to 15 Years
Location: Bangalore (WFO)
Notice Period: 15 days to 30 days
Experience Preferred: Must have experience on design, development and
manufacturing of Ground support Equipment (GSE), Aerospace MRO Tool design and
FAL (Final assembly line) assembly/installation fixtures.
Project roles and responsibilities
Key requirements:
Understand Maintenance Engineering requirements of Aircraft for the design,
development and manufacturing of Ground support Equipment and Aerospace
MRO tools.
Ability to build concept & functional design based on technical specifications and
functional maintenance requirements from the customer.
Manage complete design and development (CAD-3D Model) of GSE & Aerospace
MRO tool parts/assemblies and tool storage boxes using CATIA V5 considering
material selection, purchase parts selection, design for manufacturing and
assembly, design to cost, ergonomics, operational safety adherence to CE
norms and reliability criteria. Thereby propose new design modifications to
existing tools.
Manage complete design and development of FAL (Final assembly line)
assembly/installation fixtures for installation of various Mechanical, Pneumatic
and Electrical systems of Aircraft at Final Aircraft assembly considering EASA
guidelines.
Ensure quality deliverables with respect to effective input study, design reviews
with proper risk assessment, adherence to Aircraft quality standards AS 9100 and
EN 9110.
Independently create GSE & Aerospace MRO tool parts/assembly drawings and
tool storage box drawings using CATIA V5 by applying ISO tolerance system, CE
regulations and customer instructions.
Ability to create complementary documentation, like General Instruction manuals
for GSE/Aerospace MRO tools, Bill of Materials, technical files and analyzation of
operational Risks associated with the tool/GSE.
Ability to validate the GSE & Aerospace MRO tool with respect to DMU check and
calculations during design phase and to validate with respect to prototyping,
periodic load tests, leak tests, fatigue tests, etc. during physical testing followed by
respective design iteration and effective operation of the tool at the MRO site.
Serve as an expert in analyzing the GSE & Aerospace MRO tool design problems
and provide effective solutions for the same.
Handle change management by clearly understanding design
changes/modifications and the factors driving the change along with prioritization of
the tasks.
As a focal point, principle engineer need to ensure effective communication and
collaboration with cross-functional team, by understanding their requirements and
implementing the same in day-to-day work.
Should possess necessary team leading skills in handling team of 2 to 3 members
in terms of guiding and mentoring them.
Should possess project management skills to run tool packages by adapting AGILE
principles.
