The role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and strong market understanding.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Sales Management
Achieve monthly and yearly grocery sales targets.
Manage and expand the distribution network across regions.
Monitor product performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
Implement sales strategies to drive retail and wholesale growth.
B. Market Expansion & Business Development
Identify new sales opportunities in grocery markets.
Develop relationships with retailers, wholesalers, supermarkets, and distributors.
Conduct market visits regularly to analyze product placement and pricing.
C. Team Leadership
Lead and manage the sales team, promoters, and field executives.
Provide training and guidance to improve team performance.
Assign targets, track performance, and ensure timely reporting.
D. Customer & Channel Management
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and clients.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and service issues promptly.
Negotiate rates, promotions, schemes, and credit terms when required.
E. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management.
Coordinate with the production, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure proper supply flow.
Plan promotional activities and support local marketing initiatives.

MBA (Preferred but not mandatory)
in Sales or Marketing.
Experience:
2 to 7 years of experience
in grocery sales or FMCG industry.
Must have experience handling retail and wholesale markets.
Experience working with distributors, dealers, and modern trade outlets.
