About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
CNC OD/ID Grinding Incharge
to oversee and manage the grinding operations on CNC machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity
Key Responsibilities:
Perform 6 to 8 machine settings per day based on job complexity.
Complete log sheets accurately, get them verified by the reporting head, and submit to the respective authority.
Focus on Cost Per Component (CPC) reduction.
Work towards Cycle Time reduction.
Reduce Setting Time to improve efficiency.
Mentor and train operators on all machines under your supervision.
Operate CNC grinding machines as needed.
Perform Soft Jaw Grinding with high precision and attention to detail.
Recall and use existing programs efficiently to streamline operations.
Ensure timely and accurate First-Off Approval on CNC CG Machines, meeting stage drawing specifications.
Write and modify CNC programs as required.
Conduct Runout and Faceout checks.
Obtain Offset Approval before proceeding with production.
Monitor and maintain grinding wheel condition.
Update Hourly Production logs consistently.
Plan required tools and wheels before setting.
Keep machines clean and well-maintained.
Check calibration of micrometers, air plug gauges, and vernier calipers before part inspection.
Maintain "5S" practices across machines.
Ensure part rejection rates stay below 100 PPM.
Set Air Ring Gauges as needed.
Operate machines during operator absence to maintain uninterrupted production.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a grinding operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
Strong understanding of grinding wheel selection, setup, and machine operation.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and the ability to perform precise measurements.
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing and handling of heavy materials.
Working Conditions:
