Job Summary

:

The Grinder Operator is responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to produce precision metal parts, tools, and components. This role requires high attention to detail, knowledge of machining practices, and the ability to maintain quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

:

Set up and operate surface, cylindrical, or tool & cutter grinding machines as per job requirements. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to determine appropriate grinding procedures. Select grinding wheels and other tools according to specifications and install them on machines. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure part quality and adherence to tolerances. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment, such as wheel dressing and lubrication. Maintain documentation of completed jobs, tooling usage, and inspection results. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor immediately. Collaborate with toolmakers, machinists, and quality control personnel as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

:

ITI / Diploma in Machinist, Tool & Die, or equivalent technical training. Strong understanding of grinding techniques, cutting speeds, feeds, and abrasive materials. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications. Proficient in using precision measurement tools and gauges. Basic math and computer skills. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Knowledge of safety practices and PPE usage in a machine shop environment.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
