Job Description

Operate grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, or bench grinders) as per job requirements. Read and understand job drawings, specifications, and measurement requirements before starting the grinding process. Set up machine parameters, adjust speed, feed, and dress grinding wheels whenever required. Perform precision grinding to achieve required dimensions, surface finish, and tolerances. Inspect components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges. Maintain cleanliness of machine, tools, and surrounding work area. Follow all safety rules while handling grinding machines, abrasives, and workpieces. Identify machine abnormalities or tool wear and report immediately to the supervisor/maintenance team. Maintain daily production records and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Support production team in improving process quality and reducing material rejection
