What you’ll Do:
In order to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for our Chennai operations, we negotiate advantageous terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, lead times, and quality agreements.
Create and handle purchase orders precisely and effectively, making sure that materials are delivered on time to our Chennai factory in order to meet production schedules.
Keep up good relations with current suppliers in Chennai and South India by keeping an eye on their performance and quickly resolving any problems.
To reduce prices, enhance quality, and lessen supply chain risks for our manufacturing in Chennai, we must find new suppliers and investigate substitute materials or vendors.
To comprehend material requirements, specifications, and financial restrictions, work closely with Chennai's production, engineering, quality control, and finance departments.
What you need:
strong knowledge of supplier management, cost optimisation strategies, and procurement procedures as they relate to Chennai manufacturing.
the capacity to assess supplier bids, research market trends, and make well-informed purchasing decisions.
proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ERP/MRP systems for procurement-related tasks.
