Head of the Industrial Sectors Purchase and Sourcing

To oversee our procurement department in our Chennai manufacturing facility, we are looking for a motivated and skilled Head of Purchase. You will be in charge of creating and carrying out strategic sourcing plans, streamlining the procurement procedure, and guaranteeing a consistent and affordable supply of the components, raw materials, tools, and equipment needed for our production processes.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sourcing programs that support the organization's production and sales objectives.
Manage and lead the purchasing division, which includes setting objectives, evaluating work, and educating the procurement personnel.
Locate, evaluate, and hire reliable suppliers for raw materials, tools, consumables, components, and capital equipment.
Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with suppliers to achieve the best deal on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
Establish and maintain a strong relationship with key suppliers to ensure effective coordination and communication.
Manage the entire procurement process, from the purchase request to order placement, delivery, and invoice processing.
Establish and maintain efficient methods and procedures for procurement by utilising technology when needed.
Skills:
strong contract management, vendor relationship management, and negotiating abilities.
Outstanding analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
solid knowledge of supply chain best practices and principles.
Educational Qualification: BE in Mech
Experience: 10+ yrs
