Accountant Opportunity Strong in Finalization & Taxation

We are looking to add an experienced and meticulous accountant to our finance team in Chennai. Managing a variety of accounting tasks, maintaining the integrity and correctness of financial records, and adhering to all applicable laws and regulations in India will be your main responsibilities. Proficiency with accounting software, a solid grasp of accounting principles, and outstanding organisational abilities are necessary for this position.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.  
Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, and payments in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts regularly.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) or applicable accounting standards.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable laws in India.
Prepare and file statutory returns and reports within the stipulated deadlines.
Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) or other applicable accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle Financials) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
Knowledge of Indian tax laws, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
Educational Qualification: Any Degree related to Accounting
Experience: 3+ yrs
