Job Purpose

The Social Media Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating engaging, creative, and brand-consistent visual content for social media platforms to enhance online presence, audience engagement, and brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Design creative posts, reels covers, stories, carousels, banners, and ads for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, etc.). Develop visually appealing content aligned with brand guidelines and marketing campaigns. Collaborate with social media and content teams to understand post calendars and campaign objectives. Create festival creatives, promotional posts, event creatives, and announcement posts. Adapt designs for multiple formats and sizes as per platform requirements. Edit and optimize images for digital publishing. Basic video editing, motion graphics, or GIF creation (added advantage). Revise designs based on feedback and performance insights. Maintain a library of social media design templates and assets. Stay updated with current social media trends, formats, and design styles.

Skills & Competencies

Strong command over Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva (mandatory). Knowledge of After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar tools (preferred). Understanding of social media design trends and audience behavior. Good sense of typography, color theory, and visual storytelling. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple posts daily. Creative thinking with attention to detail.

Educational Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (preferred).

Experience

1-4 years of experience in social media design. Freshers with strong portfolios and social media understanding may apply.

Engagement performance of visual content. Timely delivery of social media creatives. Consistency with brand identity. Quality and innovation in designs. Reduction in revisions and errors.
