The role: The brand and communications team is responsible for global internal and external communications strategy, from thought leadership, PR & crisis communications, to Go to Market (GTM) content to internal engagement comms. The team is also responsible for maintaining the LRQA brand strategy.
The Graphic Design Specialist will be an integral part of the team, helping us bring both our brand and wider GTM campaigns to life through engaging content that sets us apart from competitors. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders within our global marketing team, as well as other key departments, and you’ll be responsible for ensuring that our brand guidelines are applied consistently at all times. We’re looking for an experienced Graphic Designer that is an innovative and creative thinker, who is capable of working at a fast pace, on multiple projects at any one point. We’re also looking for someone with the confidence to initiate new ideas and opportunities throughout these early stages of our brand journey.
You will:

  • Bring content to life with engaging, eye-catching design and visuals built to address the needs of a global market. Advanced use of the Adobe Creative suite will be required, and knowledge of specific design disciplines listed below will be preferred:
    Infographics
    Video production / motion graphics / animation / editing
    Website best practice i.e. use of imagery and creative elements, web based graphics
    Social media best practice and innovation
    Email marketing
    PowerPoint – specifically supporting the production of sales decks, playbooks and presentations by our thought leaders
    Work on multiple projects at any one time, taking ownership of creative elements while ensuring on-time, on-brand delivery
    Take ownership of brand-level photography, project managing photoshoots, while supplementing our library with stock imagery
    Implement new ideas that drive engagement across our channels and media
    Support global and local events with effective creative and design work that will help LRQA to stand out from the crowd
Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:
  • Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, robustly implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake work that compromises your safety or health
  • Report in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager.

You will need:
  • 2+ years of experience as a full-time graphic designer
    Extensive experience using the adobe creative suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator (Required)
    Strong knowledge of specific design disciplines and supporting tools/software. This could include email marketing, web graphics, social media and PowerPoint (Preferred)
    ‘Global and local’ team spirit, and strong cultural awareness
    Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach
    Adaptable and organised with a practical approach and the ability to work on multiple tasks to tight deadlines
    Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
    A team player who is willing to learn and grow with an evolving role
