About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
2. Obtain input from management, ensure designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
3. Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with the marketing team, meet deadlines and budget constraints, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
4. Examine existing processes, identify flaws and create solutions to improve design capabilities
5. Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video
6. Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients for a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, signage, internal communication, newsletters, and marketing materials
7. Translate strategic direction into a high-quality design within an established brand identity
8. Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content determining ideal usage of colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout
9. Use trend intelligence and an understanding of the current and historical business and market to design and execute specific classifications
