After five years of serving the Pune market through our online channel, this new CMP marks a meaningful evolution in how we connect with our customers. It brings us closer to the community, offering a seamless, inspiring, truly omnichannel IKEA experience and makes us more accessible, sustainable, and customer centric. Together, we're shaping the future of home furnishing.
The upcoming CMP will be an IKEA Small Store S, spanning approximately 2,800 sqm of gross area, and will be located in a prominent shopping mall in the East Cluster. Stay tuned - the exact location will be revealed soon!
Purpose of the role:

You should have an education in graphic communication design, media and typography, a visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics along with a customer-focused mindset. You should be able to explain concepts verbally and visual interpretation. You should possess the ability to prioritise and organise own work to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed deadlines. You should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team. You should have good attention to details with a practical hands-on approach to work. Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and production tools, e.g. printers, pre-press production and print techniques.
You should have knowledge of the below:

  • Range presentation the IKEA way (store media, display techniques, store layout).
  • Home furnishing the IKEA way.
  • Store communication the IKEA way.
  • Understand life at home in the local market and the outcome of market research, e.g. IKEA Customer Satisfaction Survey, IKEA Brand Capital. Good knowledge of trends that influence home furnishing and communication.
  • Commercial calendar and store activities.
  • The work method for presenting the IKEA range. IKEA mechanical sales system.
  • The IKEA Concept and IKEA Brand objectives. IKEA visual and verbal identity
You should be capable of combining commercial, aesthetic and practical skills. Ability to be confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations and have a flexible hands-on approach to responsibilities and an ability to meet set deadlines.
You should have a passion for fast-paced, future-oriented retailing and the IKEA product range, about home furnishing solutions that improve people's life at home. You should be constantly growing knowledge, capabilities and motivation and driven to exceed goals and a desire to improve ways of working.

Key responsibilities (text) o Use graphic communication competence to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store communication by applying the principles of IKEA visual and verbal identity.
  • Actively contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long term profitability and execute the agreed plans in close co-operation with other functions.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate store communication to ensure that it conveys the benefits of the IKEA Concept as well as completes and enhances range presentation by using proven solutions, best practices, guidelines and national directions.
  • Actively contribute to developing, implementing and evaluating store communication strategies that support a convenient shopping experience by using knowledge about life at home and shopping behaviour in the local market.
  • Respect routines and responsibilities, work together with the Com&In team and other functions in the store, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of your actions on the financial results.
  • Secure visual balance and consistency, quality and simplicity, cost-efficiency and sustainability in producing and implementing store communication.
  • Stay up to date with knowledge about home furnishing, communication and retail design trends to follow creative directions that inspire and surprise store visitors through the IKEA visual and verbal identity.
  • Keep visitors in mind and minimise disruption when working on the shop floor.
